VITORIA, Spain Two home-made bombs exploded Saturday in the Spanish Basque administrative capital Vitoria and in Bilbao, causing material damage but no injuries, AFP quoted police as announcing. The first bomb, packed with gunpowder, blew up in front of a Vitoria bar at 0345 GMT, damaging the bar, several cars parked nearby and the facade of an adjacent butcher shop. Police generally blame such explosions on the Basque separatist group ETA. The second device exploded at about 0920 GMT in Bilbao's Deusto district, in front of a building where the parents of conservative Spanish senator and ruling Popular Party member Tomas Burgos Beteta live.
